NDMC(NEW DELHI MUNCIPAL COMMITTEE) was established because =>

1)During british rule in India the Britishers earlier made CALCUTTA as an capital of the whole country as it was their main offices were in CALCUTTA .

2)But in 1911 they decided to shift the capital city from CALCUTTA to NEW DELHI. This was established to see the whole working of area which comes under it's administration. This area was also called NDMC area.

3)It covers almost 43.7km^2 area.

4)Founded on 16 March 1927.

5)During british rule in India it was built on 25 March 1913 to overlook the construction of the new capital of India.

6)The Union Territory of Delhi is divided into three statutory urban regions=>>

A) Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD),

B) New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), and

C)Delhi Cantonment Board.
