The nose of the mountainer bleed at high altititudes because of the low pressure of air around the surroundings.
In normal conditions, the pressure exerted by air on our body gets zero as our body also exerts some pressure which nullify its effect.
But, at high altitudes, the air pressure becomes low, but our body pressure remains the same.
Due to which,the blood starts to come outside the body from various parts like ears, nose etc.
It also results in shortening of breath during high altitudes.
