why does the northern hemisphere experience summer and southern hemisphere experience winter at the same time

As the earth's axis is tilted so when it reaches to the west during revolution more part of northern hemisphere faces the sun and get direct rays of the sun and it experiences summer. But,in the,meanwhile,the southern hemisphere get less heat of the sun and experiences winter.
