Why does the number of snake is less than the number of rats in a food chain?

1) The number of grasshoppers would decrease because there are more frogs to eat them.

2) More snakes would come to the habitat and prosper because there are more frogs to eat.

3) Because there are more snakes, the number of rabbits will deplete as they will be eaten by the higher population of snakes.

1) Snakes r bigger in size than the rats.
2) Rats r eaten by snakes on the other hand snakes r eaten by eagles,vultures,etc.
3) Eagles and vultures can easily identify their prey of the sky and consume it....but it is difficult for the snakes to easily find their prey and consume it....
4) So the snakes r consumed on a large scale then the rats...Hence....
