Why does the party should get more than majority seats to rule ? Why can't rule only with the coatilation government?

We can rule with coalition government. There is no need of majority seats by one party. For instance, when Arvind Kejriwal became CM of Delhi for first time, no party was in majority. Current Karnataka govt. is also a good example.
