Until eleven years, a child usually remains innocent and his/her mind looks at everything with clean heart. At the age of twelve, the onset of puberty brings along the influences of adolescence. Children undergo many physical and mental changes. Their mind begins to work more comprehensively. The idea of self, pleasure, and instincts influence his/her thinking process. Children at this age begin to think differently. For the above mentioned reasons the poet felt he lost childhood at the age of 11.
