Reason for faster rate of breathing during climbing mountain or at normal place in mountain are-

•as we go higher and higher from sea level ( land ) the composition of oxygen in the air starts decreasing due to which our body also experiences lack of oxygen so to overcome it our body make us to breathe faster and faster to supply oxygen or oxygenated blood to whole body.

Explanation:

The rate of breathing increases while climbing uphill because:

I. The atmosphere is very thin at high altitudes, the amount of oxygen in the atmospheric air is low.

II. Our body needs more oxygen while climbing up hill as hemoglobin does carry sufficient oxygen to the cell for cellular respiration. So, to increase the amount of oxygen, the rate of breathing

increases.
