Hey mate, here's your answer
Your leg muscles use more energy to go fast. That energy comes from the blood and oxygen that the heart supplies. So, when your leg muscles work harder, your heart has to work harder to supply blood faster. During running the body's muscles increase their activity level and consume more oxygen. The heart must beat faster during or after running because by increasing the heart rate, the body is able to increase cardiac output and deliver the necessary blood flow to the muscles.
Hope this helps.
