The meandering course is formed due to following reasons:

1.It is caused due to combination of erosion and sediments deposition.

2.Change in the water course due to some obstruction like road or tree felling.

3.In mature stage, rivers slow down and there are more chances of formation of curve in rivers.

Answer:

Ganga develops the large meanders in the mature stage of the river.

Explanation:

Meander is one of the land form in running water or fluvial topography. It is formed in mature stage of the river, it is formed when lateral erosion exceeds the vertical erosion. Deposition occurs the convex bend and erosion occurs in the concave bend in water flow. Ganga eroded from the hilly regions to plains when it reaches plain it had more silts so it deposited more alluvial deposits so it formed the more meanders than other rivers. Then it had more diversion in water flow due to settlements and constructions in Northern plains.
