let the altitude be x
then base = x+10
area of triangle= 1/2(base)*height
600= 1/2(x)(x+10)
x2+10x-1200= 0
x= 30...... x= -40 is rejected as the side can't be in negative.
so base = x+10= 40cm
altitude=x= 30cm
