Why does the Salton Sea get brung up when you are talking about the Colorado River?

Essentially, it's surface water and tile drainage from farm fields. As IID takes less water from the Colorado River, that means less water flows to theSalton Sea. Because the Salton Sea isa terminal lake, when less water flows in, the Salton Sea shrinks.
