Answer :

The pressure at the bottom of a lake is very high. We know, volume is inversely proportional to the pressure applied on a body. So the volume of the bubbles at the bottom of a lake is small. As it rises, the pressure decreases and consequently the volume increases. So the volume of a bubble at the top of a lake is more than that at the bottom of a lake.
