Why does the sky appear blue, and why not violet?

First of all due to the reflection of light only it appears blue in colour in the presence of atmosphere. It is not possible to appear in violet colour.

white light is mixture of 7 colours in tat blue is more denser so the reflection of the light particles appear sky blue and blue scatters more than tat of other colours.
