sky appears dark instead of blue to An astronaut because there is no atmosphere at the outer surface so that means there are not any molecules to scatter the light and if light doesn't scatter so no light is visible to us.

it is a mixture of gases that's why it seems us in different colors eg white skyblue orange

but when astronomer go to space they see the sky which is of black coloured
