Why does the soil need to be turned and loosened?

 It is necessary to turn and loosen the soil because only loose soil allows the roots to penetrate freely deeper into soil The roots can breathe easily

soil needs to be turned and loosened bcoz of the proper growth of the plants and also roots can penetrate into the soil and can absorb the minerals,water etc...and loosening of soil helps in air circulation,the roots can hold plants firmly,water can reach throughout the plant,microbes can  easily grow.
