When moisture is removed from air ,then the density of sound increases. As we know the speed of sound is inversely proportional to the square root of it's density. That's why the sound travels faster in moist air than in dry air.

Hi friend_______,
★ During rainy days, the moisture content is more in the atmosphere & speed of sound increases with increase in humidity.
★ Hence the sound travels faster on rainy days.
