Why does the sun seems red in the morning but yellow during afternoon..

the sun is at the farthest from the earth's horizon at morning and evening
so only the color of light which has highest wavelength reaches us and that is red and orange
by afternoon the sun is overhead so nearer to us so yellow light can reach us too
