hey mate
The temperature remains constant during the melting of ice even though heat is supplied continuously because the temperature is supplied for changing the state of matter not for increasing the temperature. The heat of the temperature is used by the particles of ice and they vibrate faster and breaks the force of attraction and then it becomes liquid.

Answer: Actually all the heat we supply is used up in breaking the additional attraction forces due to Hydrogen bonding in Ice. It remains hidden and hence is also called latent heat of vapourisation. That's why, as soon as all the ice melts the temperature of liquid starts increasing.
Hope it helps
