why does the valency of Iron changes in the following equation (2FeSo4 -> Fe2O3 + SO2 + SO3) and why is it called ferrous in reactent side and ferric in product side​

in the product side you have FeSO4- it means gain of one electron so it is Ferrous in reactant side you have Fe2SO3 so it is known as ferric
