The arrangements match with the second period because all of the elements given have two energy shells or orbits present in their atoms.

Hope it helps.

you have to do one thing. Arrange these elements in descending order of their atomic radius. Then after arranging, have a look at long form table. Now, what did you observe? You will observe the congruency in the position of these elements, i. e. Elements will be in exact position when u will compare this to long form table. We know that atomic radius goes on decreasing while going from left to right in a period. So this arrangement match with the 2nd period of the long form table. Hope u understand this. If any query, do comment

krish2333: yes
gaurav2424: if so, observe sci 1 last question . They have given some questions in form of instructions like arrange the table in decreasing order, then find the reason behind the similarity, etc
krish2333: I have asked this question from that only.this question is in q.no 4 1st sub question in which 5 questions are askae and this is 3 rd question
gaurav2424: When we go from left to right in a period, the number of electron get added by 1 unit. At the same time, effective nuclear charge too get added to the atom. Due to the addition of nuclear charge, nuclear charge increases. nucleus pulls the shells of the elctrons and thus atomic radius decreases
krish2333: the question is not asking this reason behind decreasing atomic radius
gaurav2424: we have arrange elements is decreasing order naa. And in periodic table, elements arranged in decreasing order.
gaurav2424: There is inclusion of atomic radius
gaurav2424: now let it be. This exam is over. Lets over the debate on this topic
krish2333: Ok
gaurav2424: The above description is given so as to describe why atomic radius goes on decreasing. ok bye. best of luck
