because type of crops need different types of climatic conditions to grow wich includes amount of water they need on different intervals ... giving too much of water or giving water continuously can damage our crops .....
for eg - wheat grains get damage in rainy season while rice or paddy grains get damage in summer season.... i.e. ....paddy crops needs more water on less interval of time then wheat crops

because paddy crops need mpre water then different crops like wheat, cotton, barley they need less water then the paddy crops
