why does Vegetables leaves water on sprinkling salt while cooking ??

It is because of osmosis which happens from vegetable to outside.. When we add salt.. The conc. Of solute in outer environment increased than the concept. Of solute in the vegetables so the water comes out in order to have osmotic balance..
