Why does voltage change in series circuit(different for individual resistances) but not in parallel circuit(remains constant)?

In series combination, current remains constant for all the resistors, due to a single wire in the circuit.

While in the parallel combination, current varies as the wire is divided for different resistors.

When you place resistors in series combination, their sum of voltage equals the total voltage of the cell, thus they share the voltage. While in parallel, each resistor works independently, there is no sharing of voltage.

Thus, the voltage change occurs.
