why does water vapour condenses when it reaches I up in the atmosphere

When we go higher up the atmosphere, the temperature decreases.As a result , water vapour changes into water on cooling

because the atmosphere is cool and it cause to water vapour convert into water .
for eg - when we boil water if we put ice on top of the plate and the plate put on the contanir . so the vapour convert into water and fixed on the plate .
