Why does waterlogging increase the salt content of the soil?

When water going to the underground, there is some amount of salt. When the ground fully filled up with water, it evaporates due to sun energy. When it was evaporating, the molecules of salt comes up, and when whole water is evaporated, then the salt that came up struck to the upper layer of soil.
