Vinegar is mainly composed of water and ethanoic acid .The concentration of ethanoic acid in vinegar may be found by titrating a diluted solution of vinegar with standard hydroxide solution.
The equation for the titration reaction is..
CH³COOH + NaOH ----> CH³COONa +H²O

Surface tension of water more than vinegar because the chemical behavior of alcohols is almost entirely determined by the hydroxyl group, since the alkyl portion of the molecule is relatively unreactive. Hydrogen bonding is not as extensive in ethanol as in water, and so its boiling point is lower than water's, despite its greater molecular weight.
