Oil doesn't dissolve in water.... it's a known fact...But there is a scientific reason behind this phenomenon...
Oil is a non-polar whereas water is a polar ...
Polar substances can only get dissolved in polar solvents i.e. water ... since oil is nonpolar it doesn't get dissolved in water...
