If birds on electric wire are not getting electrocuted, this means they are not getting shocked by electricity. ... leg and toes automatically flex and tighten when the bird lands on a perch.

Birds on landing on a wire , do not get an electric shock as they are not in contact with the earth. In order to get an electronic shock , contact with the Earth/ land is mandatory . Anything suspended in the air does not get a shock.
