Why don't flame or other fires keep burning facing heads downwards? Why do they keep flaring skywards even when held upside down?

This is one of the awesome question.

Explanation:

The reason for this is simple. When a candle is lit , its flame heats up the surrounding air. Hot air , due to its lightweight , travels upward , pulling the flame up with it.That's why we always see flames burn upwards. This phenomenon also causes the flames to flicker.

Meanwhile the heavier , colder air rushes down to replace the heated air , near the burning candle . And so , the cycle continues.
