they came to india from bangladesh from so much difficulty they left all their belonging and jobs to come to india they were thrown out of their homeland so why will they want to go back?

In the story "The Lost Spring", most of slum dwellers of Seemapuri came from Bangladesh in the year 1971. They left Bangladesh because-

  • They had no Food there to fill their empty stomach
  • They had no secured Place to live in
  • They had no source of Income to survive

Thus they came to Seemapuri and started living there. Though Seemapuri is an unhygienic place with no basic amenities, still they continue to live there as they have Ration Cards through which they can at least get food.

Thus they don't want to go back to Bangladesh again because they can adjust living in an Unhygienic slum but they can't bear the pain of sleeping with an Empty Stomach.
