Why don't we get electric shock on touching neutral wire

by convention , current flows from positive voltage to negative voltage . the charge carriers in copper wire are electrons and that they are negatively charged , and flows towards the positive voltage. but current flows in the direction opposite of the electron flow .
you get shocked when current flows through your body . often , the neutral wire is very close to ground potential, and you are too .
So there is not enough voltage to give you a shock ,but sometimes neutral may be hot .
