Why dry ice is called so? what happens when pressure is released from dry ice?

dry ice is called solid carbon dioxide,it imperceptible at bottom and doesn't rise up,we can able to see it easily

it is called dry ice because it is made carbon dioxide. when pressure is released from dry ice it converts into carbon dioxide
