Why dry leaf doesnt have iodine test result

Dry leaf does not have strach stored in them. Iodine colours the starch containy leaf blue black and did not affect unstarched leaf. so dry leaf won't have any effect of starch on it....

may be the leaf is dry leaf dosent prepare food it also dont have chlorophyll and due to absemce of starch if we add iodine also leaf won't turn to blueblack colour
