Physical change is that change in which no new substance is formed chemically...
=> physical change can be reversible and so are birectional

=> If we melt ice , water is so formed...
This is a physical change as Ice changes to water but here no new substance is formed...
chemically ice and water are the same substance ( only their states are different )...
We can also reverse the change as by cooling water to form ice again...
So this change is reversible...
It works in both direction means Ice to water and Water to Ice too...
so called Bi-Directional ( Bi - Means - TWO)

=> But if we burn a piece of paper , we only left with black substance which is nothing just a carbon...We cannot revese this change to get back a paper by any mean....And Carbon is a new substance formed...So this is a chemical change and ireversible...and it work in only one durection...
So called Unidirection ( Uni - Means - ONE )

Now notice that when shirt gets dry in the Sun...is there any new substance formed..?

Can you wet the shirt again once it dry....?

Drying of shirt is a physical change because there is no new substance is so formed...we can reverse the change simply by pouring or dilping shirt in a bucket of water...
