Why , during sunrise and sunset the sun is seen even when it is slightly below the horizon?​

Refraction of Light

Explanation:

When light is coming from the sun towards earth, it suffers refraction from rarer to denser layers upto the earth.So, due to refraction of light through the layers of the atmosphere, the Sun is seen above the horizon while actually it is below the horizon.
