Why Eastern Coastal plains get less rainfall than western coastal plains and why (connect with direction of winds )​

Answer: Western coastal plains receive more rainfall because it lies on the windward side of Western Ghats. Eastern coastal plains lies on the leeward side of the Western Ghats and receives less rainfall.

as we know that India receives the humid air from Indian Ocean.....

this humid air gets trapped in the Himalayas some gets trapped in the dec can and so on. this trapped air soon gets precipitated and vice versa. but the meghalaya although recieved some humid air currents but due to absence if huge geologic features the air moves further bringing less rainfall.
