Electrostatic Induction is also responsible for the attraction of light nonconductive objects, such as balloons, paper or styrofoam scraps, to static electric charges. Such like phenomena also happen in situation of electrified rod so it attracts light particles.✔✔

Answer:
When electrified rods are brought near light objects, the rods induce opposite charges on the near surfaces of object as well as on farther side of object.
By induction, the metal sphere will have equal and opposite charged (these charged particles doesn't lose any of it's charge in contact).
Thus the electrified road attracts light objects.
