Illegal killing of Elephants and the destruction of their habitat. Most elephants are illegally killed to take their ivory tusks.It is a very sad scene to come upon for those that are working hard to bring the elephants back from the brink of extinction.

Elephants were extinct and endangered because the large elephants or the ancestors of elephants were very strong. Moreover , their teeth we used in a number of causes like hunting, for marketing. In the earlier medieval ages people used to kill them use their skin for warmth and sold the teeth. Many of us will be amazed to know that the teeth of the elephants were very expensive . So it became a reliable trade and many people use to kill them for all this purposes . Hence, this lead to their extinction.
