Elephants can hear low notes:

Elephants and whales can hear frequencies much lower (infrasonic sound) than the range of human audibility. Elephants are able to hear a sound coming from up to about 8 kilometers away. The distances from which they can communicate with each other is also amazing.

→The hearing range of the elephant is reported in the low frequencies anywhere from 5 to 16 Hz and in the high frequencies from 12,000 to 16,000 Hz .

→Elephants can communicate using very low frequency sounds, with pitches below the range of human hearing.

→The other possibility is that elephant infrasounds are produced like human speech or singing, but because the elephant larynx is so large, they are extremely low in frequency.

→Also Elephants can hear through their feet.

→Elephants have a great sense of hearing and can send vocalizations a long distance.
