Why ethane has 7 covalent bonds

The formula of ethane is C2H6. Where C-C(1 covalent bond)  and C-H( 6 covalent bonds ) and covalent bonds re formed between two non-metallic elements. If we draw the structure of ethane we ll find that they re sharing electron and there re seven cobalent bonds.
