Pls find the answer below:
♦ The nocturnal animals, have a speacial, light reflecting surface called the Tapetum lucidum right behind their retinas which not only helps them for better vision but also makes them glow at night.
♦ Process - Usually when light enters the eye, it is suppose to hit the photoreceptor that transmits the information to the brain but sometimes if it doesnt then this tapetum lucidum act as a mirror to bounce it back for a second chance.
♦ Humans don't posses it neither do most other primates.
♦ Commonly observed in cats, dogs including deers & cattles.
