Just to correct your question, generally during reversible adiabatic expansion process, for a given range of pressure, final temperature is greater than corresponding irreversible process. For compression, exactly opposite happens (i.e. irreversible process results in higher final temperature).

Why is the final temperature of areversible adiabatic process greater than that of irreversible? A reversible adiabatic process means that thetemperature is kept at a constant one, while an irreversible process implies that there is entropy phenomena where there is decreasing heat transfer (from hot to cold).
