Warm water makes it hard for the fish to breathe. Oxygen do not dissolved properly in warm water. That's why.

Hi friend,

Fish, like all other complex life forms need oxigen to survive. They get theirs in the form of oxigen gas dissolved in water.

So, when you put the fish in warm water or summer nights during algal blooms, the dissolved - oxigen concentration sometimes drops too low for fish and a die off can occur. ...i hope it helps you
