Why fishes live in water and why humans cannot live in water?

Fish can live in water because they are adapted to the breathing in the waterusing their gills. Water flows through the gills and available oxygen dissolved in the water is obtained. As long as there is enough dissolved oxygen in the water the fish can survive.
