Internal energy of gas depend on temperature and not on pressure and volume because internal energy changes when internal forces of the molecule effects. and temperature effects internal energy as well as degree of freedom of the molecule.

ANSWER___♢

The internal energy of the gas does not depends on pressure and volume because when we are increasing the pressure the means, we are displacing the molecules against the intermolecular forces, that work will be stored as internal energy in molecules.
