Vegetables, milk or any food product that contains high moisture tends to spoil in summer at a very faster rate as compared to winter (yes they can rotin winter too if kept idle for long time). ... As a result, the foods spoil faster in summer.

well as you know that we keep food in fridge so that it can be fresh for longer time. and when winters come we no longer use fridge and keep it as it is. It is because bacteria can't spoil food in low temperature as they can't survive in cold..
