Forests are called as Green Gold, because they fulfill the following purposes:

A.The process of photosynthesis is carried out due to the green pigment called chlorophyll.

B.Tree root fixes the soil,thus preventing from soil degradation.

C.It reduces the risk of flooding.

D.It provides many usable products such as wood to make furniture, medicines, perfumes etc.
