see bro as u know instantaneous speed or velocity are taken at particular instant of time .
speed is scalor quantity and has no direction. and at at instant infinitely small distance the direction can not be measured as infinitely small length is taken as a straight line without any direction.
so both inst velocity and inst speed have same formula
