Why is bond enthalpy of c-h bond greater than that of c-c bond?

The bond enthalpy of CH is more as compared to CC because in CH bond, there is more ionic character due to difference in size. In cc bond less ionic and more covalent character is present. As ionic bond require more energy to break, CH bond has more bond enthalpy as compared to CC bond.
