Because so many soldiers were killed by people so finally gandhi jee decided call of the movement

  1. crowds took to streets in many worth Indian towns
  2. there was strikes, clashes with police and attacks on the government buildings
  3. the government responded with brutal repression, seeking 10u milate and terrorize people
  4. satyagrahi were forced to rub their nose on the ground, crawl on the street and do salam to all sahabs...
  5. people were flogged and villages(around Gujranwala in Punjab, now in Pakistan) were bombed....
  6. soon violence spread ,mahatma Gandhi called off the movement [ROWLETT ACT (1919)]
